Luck of the Irish...

I have yet to see a Leprechaun…Or find a pot of gold…but still having a fun time in Ireland. (so much actually that I haven’t had much time for blogging…) I’ve spent a few days touring Dublin, doing the touristy things like the Dublin Castle, the Kilmainham Jail and of course, Guinness…

I’m staying at the Globetrotters Hostel in Dublin.

It’s quite nice…but it takes some getting used to the hostel lifestyle again…Sharing your quarters with six other girls and having no personal space…but then I think of where I’m going next…where we’ll all be sleeping in one room, on mats on the floor, under mosquito netting, with pit latrines…and suddenly this seems kind of nice…lol

We went on a three day tour this week that included stays in Galway and Killarney…And we made a stop at the Blarney Castle…where I’m sorry to say that I kissed the Blarney Stone…(for those of you who don’t know the legend, anyone who kisses it gets the gift of gab for seven years!)

Tomorrow morning, I’m heading off to Barretstown to start my volunteering at the camp…so more to come next week…
