Michelle! It simply isn't the same sleeping in my room without you and the Princesses! Miss you terribly, but glad to see that you were still alive 9 hours into your stay in Nairobi (that is an accomplishment I hear). I'm back at home/work, and I have to report:
-Number of zebu encountered during commute: ZERO
-Amount of deet applied prior to leaving home: NONE
-Number of hard boiled eggs consumed in last 24 hours: NOT A SINGLE ONE
-Where did I brush my teeth: IN THE BATHROOM, WITHOUT A HEAD LAMP, A BOTTLE OF WATER OR A GARBAGE DUMP IN WHICH TO SPIT...
-Number of hot showers since returning: FOUR IN 3 DAYS! WOOHOO!
-And despite all of the above....Number of times I wished I could be back mixing mortar, carrying brick, or covered in red clay dust....too many to count....

Having lived in Tanzania I can tell you how much Michelle would appreciate getting a letter (yes - one of those things that involves paper, an envelope and a stamp). It takes about 2 weeks for a letter to get there from Canada - plus then however long it takes for them to get to town to get the mail.
